Nuttin

Meaning: “Nuttin” is a Jamaican Patois term that means “nothing.” It is used to refer to the absence of something or to emphasize the lack of importance or value in a particular situation. It can also be used to convey a sense of casualness or indifference, often in response to a question or statement where the answer is negative or negligible.

Example in a sentence:
Mi nuh have nuttin fi sell.”
This translates to “I don’t have anything to sell,” where “nuttin” indicates the lack of goods or items available for sale.

In a real estate context, “nuttin” might be used informally to suggest a lack of available properties or progress on a deal. For example, a real estate agent might say, “Mi check di listings, but nuttin deh right now,” meaning there are no suitable properties available at the moment.

Nuttin can also be used to downplay an achievement or situation, as in “It was nuttin,” meaning it was no big deal. For instance, if someone were showing a client a property they weren’t interested in, they might casually say, “Mi jus show yuh di house, but it’s nuttin special.”
